Field Note #06 / Patience

I Almost Left

Opening Thought

I was about to leave. Then I saw a rainbow in the spray. By the time I raised my phone, it was gone.

What I Noticed

I thought I missed it.

The sun was still in the same place.

I was still standing in the same place.

So I waited.

A few waves later, it appeared again.

That’s when I took the photograph.

Why It Works

The sun hadn’t moved.

I hadn’t moved.

The wave was the only thing that needed another chance.

Beyond The Frame

We often leave too soon because we think the moment has already passed.

But not every meaningful thing arrives on the first attempt.

Sometimes patience is not waiting for something new.

Sometimes it is giving the same moment another chance to reveal itself.

Try This

Before you leave, look again.

Sometimes the moment isn’t gone. It’s just not here yet.

Visual IQ Takeaway

I thought I missed it. I didn’t.
